◎創作理念
工作時很常穿梭山海之間進行田野調查，感受到土地的皺褶中蒐藏很多珍貴的資源。而後在爬梳資料時，發現「通往世界的植物」這本書，其中一段在描述平面狹窄的臺灣，因為高山的聳立；創造了額外的立體空間。透過創作來描述花東縱谷的山脈相擁，用似人非人的方式描繪地質風景；將自己想像成「林班工」；在山林樹海間發現先人留下來的訊號。帶入故事角色來逐一的描繪臺灣的不同風貌。
I often travel between mountains and seas for field research during my work, sensing that many precious resources are hidden within the layers of the land. While reviewing materials, I came across a book called “The Origin and Journey of the Mountane Plants in Taiwan,” which describes how the towering mountains create extra three-dimensional spaces for the narrow plains of Taiwan. In my creations, I illustrate the mountain ranges of the Hualien-Taitung Rift Valley, showing the geological landscape through both human and non-human expressions. I imagine myself as a forest worker, discovering clues left by ancestors in the forested mountains. By introducing characters, I depict a diverse landscape of Taiwan.
